World Book Day

Last Thursday we celebrated World Book Day. We all came to school dressed as our favourite character.

We had lots of fun talking about our characters and our favourite stories. We all respected each other, listening to reasons why we liked the character we were dressed as.  We discussed how amazing reading can be and came up with reasons to read. We then enjoyed some time reading books of our choice in a space in the classroom and had relaxing music on in the background. We liked doing this!

Millie  said she loved being dressed up as Princess Fiona for the day. Lexie thought it was great when we all had a class photograph in our costumes. We explored the story ‘Room on the Broom’. We carried out lots of fun activities based around the story and then finished the day by watching the short film of ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson.
